Ultimate Quick Detailer - How Many Squirts?

About how many squirts of UQD should one use on the hood of a typically sized car? Assume UQD is used every 3 days and the car is a daily driver. How many applications do you get out of one bottle?

I've seen the UQD video and it doesn't look like more than about 3 squirts on the hood. But, on my first UQD use (noob here), I went through a lot of the bottle on one car.

Never really counted the squirts. I generally lightly mist half of the hood. Then wipe it down then take a second microfiber to remove any product left over. Then repeat.

I would say lightly misting the product, 15 times would seem reasonable.

For a car that only has light dust on it you should be able to clean, for example, the hood with just two or three trigger pulls for each half of the hood. To some degree that's going to vary with the size of the vehicle (a full size pick up truck has a much larger hood than, say, a Ford Focus).

But you should be able to get many full car application uses out of a single bottle of UQD. You don't need to flood the surface, just mist it on. For quick detailing purposes you don't use anywhere near as much product as you do when claying - that's when you practically do flood the surface.



Disclaimer: don't use UQD as a clay lube though, it's too slick. The above comparison was for quantity use only.

But, I did already (and was expecting to again) use UQD for claying. Thought I learned that here. What is the recommended lubricant.

Quik Detailer, Last Touch at 1:1 or Final Inspection can all be used as clay lubes.

+2, my personal favorite is the last touch diluted 1:1.

I have learned never use too much product. Most times like said 2-4 good, misting squirts is whats needed. I use just one MF and I have learned as it absorbs the product, it "works" better towards the end of the wipe down.
