Hi,
As I said in my intro thread, I've been lurking around for a couple of weeks, and a couple of things have been on my mind after buying a mixture of products on two seperate occasions... All Meguiars and another product that starts with M
due to lack of availability of products in store. (most places here sell Turtle, Kitten and Armourall to name a few)
I picked up some Megs Cleaner Wax on my first buyup, along with Gold Class Wash and Megs applicators and towels, and it is good stuff. Went on so easily compared to any other wipe on products I've used in the past.
Then on my second trip to a major stockest, curiosity got me and I grabbed some Stage 2 sealer/glaze and Stage 3 was from Mothers, seeing as it was the best product line they had. (No Meguiars unfortunately to keep it all in the same camp).. Also very happy with the results, although the Stage 2 required a lot of work and left me in need of a good drink
So my questions are this:
If I was to use the Cleaner Wax as a regular application (afterall it goes on so easy, and it is a daily runner, so spending 20 hours a month on it is kinda wasted effort), will the cleaning products strip the added gloss that the Stage 2 put in?, and..
If I was to do a complete 3 stage detail 3 or 4 times a year (or whatever) would the Cleaner Wax make an ok substitution for the first step, or would I really need to look at getting a dedicated cleaner product.
Either way, I've pretty much decided that even during the full 3 stage treatments the car gets, I will use the Cleaner Wax for all the fiddly bits and peices seeing as it is so easy to use, and leave the 3 step just for the major panels.
Thanks in advance..
