so anyway we had a Ford F350 with a kennel bed on it (big alum. box with like 8 kennels) come in today for an LOF (Lube, Oil, Filter) and when i got the Repair Order and keys for it the service writer said that this guys was very particular and told the service writer to tell me this "Have your guy be sure and close my hood with a rag because it has a real good wax job on it and i dont want any grease on my paint" so anyway, i bring it in and we have big fluorescent lights, and i personally have a super bright tactical LED light i use for doing inspections.
So as im doing this LOF i look at the guys paint, and its swirled to HECK and back, has water spots sealed in under the wax, along with tree sap, tons of bird etchings, or etchings in general and it felt waxed but was rough, so obviously claying wasnt performed. I kind of laughed to myself as i continued to work and repeated in my head what he told the service writer above and though to myself, yeah a real good wax job for someone who doesnt have a clue how to properly prep a vehicle for waxing. I wish now i could have taken some pics with my phone as this paint was really that terrible, and yet he thought he just had the best wax job on it ever.
Just thought id share my laugh with you guys and let you laugh about it as well.
