Is it ok to keep UQD in your trunk when its real hot out like 90 -100 and humid, or will that somehow negatively affect the product?

Re: UQD storage question
Very fluid, sprayable products like UQD and similar can better withstand extreme heat than a lotion type product can. Liquid waxes will separate when exposed to high heat for long periods of time and should not be stored in the trunk of your car. Having a bit of a mist & wipe product on hand is a good idea for those bird bombs and other issues that appear from time to time. Whether you want to keep a full sized bottle or just a small refillable sample sized bottle is up to you.Michael Stoops

Re: UQD storage question
I've always wondered: If a product can't withstand temps around 90-100 inside a vehicle, in their container, how can they withstand 135-160 when they are sitting on a vehicle in the sun, after they have been applied? Makes me think that products would break down and evaporate pretty quickly.

But a product in a bottle is quite a bit different than a product that has been applied and cured. A liquid product in the bottle (and we're talking lotion like products such as liquid waxes, leather products, etc) can be damaged to the point that ingredients once blended into a smooth, even consistency can drop out of suspension or even break down, which leads to separation or lumpiness. When this happens they no longer spread properly, or cure properly, when applied to the paint. Liquid products with a very water like consistency to start with (UQD, glass cleaners, etc) are not as prone to this separation problem and so can better withstand temperature extremes.Michael Stoops

Re: UQD storage question
That's what I figured too, but it just got me thinking. All I know is #21 on my black vehicles stands up to the high temps, hard rains and multiple washes, and still beads and sheets water and is slick and glossy after weeks and weeks!

Re: UQD storage question
I have recently moved all my products from the garage to the house (laundry room next to the garage for quick access). Should have done it much sooner, but only recently became concerned about the hot temps in the garage. Better safe than sorry IMO.

Re: UQD storage question
well i just keep a bottle of uqd in my trunk cause ill always forget it otherwise, the reason i asked is cause i got a new bottle and it smelled much more fragrant, i dont know if it's because i had the older one in my trunk and if it didnt break down the chemicals completely may have altered them somehow.

Using them on a daily basis is different than "storage".
I keep mine in the basement where it's a very nice 18C ~65F all year long.
If I put things in the car I use a large zip lock freezer bag in case there is a mishap.
