  • which product to use?

I am looking to detail my 07 tundra blue streak metalic using meguiars product line of:
    Clay Bar
    ultimate compound
    Meguiar's Show Car Glaze #7
    Nxt Tech 2.0 wax.
I was thinking is m205 something i would want to substitute for the show car glaze 7? My understanding is that m205 is a second step, finishing step behind m105 that works on fine scratches and #7 is just a polish. I was thinking m205 would eliminate and scratches UC would miss and also act like a polish. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

others may disagree but i would stick with #7. Using an abrasive polish after UC seems like your repeating a step. I will watch this post to see what everyone else thinks.

      Heres what I do ...

      -Wash (Two Buckets) GC wash
-Clay , smooth surface clay kit
-Clean , Use Ultimate Compound or M105
-Clean, Follow with Swirl Remover 2.0 or M205( optional, if ultimate compound leaves its own swirls)
-Polish, #7 show car Glaze ( I think this is a must)
-Wash, wash again quickly too remove any dust from previous steps
-Wax, A thin layer of NXT or other wax
-Wax, another thin layer to ensure no spots were missed

I personally love number 7 more than any thing else, I think it makes the paint pop better than anything else, I guess it is optional but i cant edit my post now

On some paints, UC/#105 may leave some marring behind, other paints will come out perfect.

So just a matter of using something milder to follow up if needed.

I think for dark colored cars they are a must. With my experience (limited) i have seen it makes a world of difference.

Washing after applying the M07 is a bit of a waste considering the layer of glaze you just layed down will be washed off.

I agree, but if the car gets that dusty then i would touch up with quick detail and microfiber towel
