Hey everyone, after months of waiting im finally gonna do a full detail on my 1995 honda civic sedan. I was wondering after i get the cobbwebbs out lol and instead of using NXT or a cleaner wax could i possible use Ultimate Quick Detailer? It seems to take less time if i were to use that than paste wax. Any input would be greatly appreaciated

Re: Ultimate Quick Detailer vs Paste Wax??
While you will not get the protection or longevity of a liquid or paste, UQW is definitely the answer for a quick application. That is one of the main reasons we made that product.
In addition, UQW can be applied in the sun and it does not turn white on plastic trim
Here is a quick video we did on UQD vs UQW:

Re: Ultimate Quick Detailer vs Paste Wax??
If you are going to spend the time on a full detail don't cut the protection side down. It might take a little longer but it will look better longer and add a bit more protection. UQW is nice and I love it, but to me its only a booster even though it should last 3-4 weeks.

Re: Ultimate Quick Detailer vs Paste Wax??
yeah im not one to take short cuts especially on my car. But im doing this all in one day so from like 7am to 5pm is my timeframe. I have alot of cobbwebbs cuz its 15yrs old so thats gonna take me the longest by hand-Sohc-

Re: Ultimate Quick Detailer vs Paste Wax??
Working on swirls is hard by hand.
Dont be afraid to just do the swirl removal on half or whatever if you have to, then wax it all.. Then do the other half with your next detail.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

I'm with Murr on this one. If you're going to do the hard work of removing the defects by hand, don't skimp on the protection step at the end. Rather work on the car in stages and do a proper job of removing the defects and protecting it with a decent LSP application.

Re: Ultimate Quick Detailer vs Paste Wax??
I think im gonna end up washing, drying, clay tonight and early tommorow do the UC and wax. But im worried that if i do the clay tonight and UC tommorow that the weather might be bad overnight or birds takin a dump on my car idk what to do-Sohc-
