Do what you are already doing and keep it up with ONR and UQW.

Try #26 on top of the 2.0
      Black......the ONLY color!

Polishing (buffing) is what ultimately gives depth and shine. You can't have max protection, and expect your paint to have a "wet" look to it 24/7. I Associate a wet look with a "show car", or a car that is garaged, a car that is cleaned and maintained on a routine basis. If your car will be stored outside, and driven frequently, you will be chasing your tail. If there is a lot of dust where you are, or the roads not well maintained, the situation will be further compounded (no pun intended) When it rains, the situation will be compounded even further.

If you don't have a "wash area", I'll just also assume your car will be parked outside. Don't chase your own tail trying to keep a show car finish, and instead, use your energy to concentrate on school.

This is what I recommend: Before you go off to school, polish out your car the best you can, and then seal it with the sealant of your choice, (you mentioned NXT) and then call it the day, move on with your life for now. You can use instant detailer for light dust to keep it looking shiny, and when it gets too dirty for instant detailer, your car will have to be washed. For washing a car without a hose, try a "rinesless" car wash product. If you had two-three good size buckets, you could also wash it without a hose.

              Peace out

Re: i NEED car show shine...,

Prob M205 for starters. I have given up on a swirl free finish and have gone with a low-swirl finish. I also use NXT 2.0 and UQW to hide as many swirls as possible.

                  How's everything going by you?

I don't think Fly Bye was trying to be funny. What he was trying to say is that having a daily driver in show room condition is very hard to do if not impossible and you will be "chasing your tail" aka driving yourself crazy trying to do so. As for your method, polishing with 205 and following with Nxt will work great. Topping with a carnauba like gold class plus or 26 would give u a deep, wet shine.

Re: i NEED car show shine...,

Typically a cars finish will look its best right after it's detailed. The coatings applied give it its maximum depth, shine, and protection. All topically applied products naturally degrade over time and must be reapplied in order to maintain its look and level of protection. A swirl-free finish is something we all strive for but is not realistic especially on a daily driver.

                        Facts:

                        Colleges don't have garages
You car will be outside 24/7
                        Weather conditions, sun, rain, snow

                        Here's what I'd recommend;

                        Do a full detail

                        1. Wash
                        2. Clay

                        8. Wax - Collinite 845

We're in one of our hottest July's ever in constant need of rain. My poor car has been begging for a wash and since we just got a few thunderstorms, I can finally do that!

I'm also getting ready for college even though I am commuting....... . Have to get my schedule ready

haha. yea. im ready to start school. i start on Aug 16. and i can just hit up my car with M205 on a orange pad...my car is in ok shape with minor swirls (its a 2008)....so i guess i will seal and then top it off with some GC+ ?

Not sure which orange pad you're referring too, Lake Country would be my guess. If you're not going to follow up with a less aggressive pad you may want to first try something like the Meguiars yellow pad and M205. The orange pad by itself will leave a slight haze which will take away from the clarity and reduce that wet look.
