New to Meguiars. Need Help

I am brand new to Meguiars but have been working on cars for a long time now. My friend has got a car and he wants to wash, wax, polish, and do all those fancy little steps. He wanted to use Meguiars so I need your help to find some products. He has a silver Toyota Celica. I was looking at these products in this order (applying them top to down). Please let me know if these are good and if I have messed up on the ordering. Thank You.

2. Smooth Surface Clay Kit
3.Scratchx 2.0 ( He has a little scratches)
4.Deep Crystal System Polish
5.Gold Class Liquid Wax

3. Depends on how deep the scratches are and your desired level of correction

5. Yes, if that is your preference. You may want to consider NXT Tech Wax 2.0 for added durability/longevity.

You might consider:

1. Wash
2. Clay
3. Clean - ScratchX 2.0 or Ultimate Compound on the bad spots. Then SwirlX everything.
4. Wax
5. Wax - 2 thin coats are best.

Polish replenishes oils and makes darker colors more glossy. Some other products will perform these functions so polish may be redundant.

SwirlX is a mild compound. It reduces minor surface imperfections (ie. swirls, cobwebs) You can apply all products by hand with foam applicator pads or you can move up to a G110v2 Dual Action Polisher ($200 with pads).

It depends on your goal. If you post some pics and tell us what you want to see, we can suggest methods and products.

1. Yes, as mentioned above, SwirlX has some oils in it as well.

Thank You. i have been looking around and people have been saying that Ultimate Compound is more aggressive than Swirlx. My question is if Ultimate Compound is also a stronger version of Scratchx 2.0.

Yes, the SwirlX, ScratchX 2.0, and UC are related, though just saying a stronger version probably isnt quite right. SwirlX is a cleaner/polish, while the others are mainly cleaners.

And yes, out of those 3, SwirlX is mildest, ScratchX 2.0 in the middle, and UC strongest.
