  • Meguiars V2 buffer & #7

Buffer works great at applying the glaze (speed 3).

Yet when removing the glaze (before it has dried to a white haze as per the directions) using a finishing/polish foam pad, the glaze doesnt come off at speed 3 (or any other speed). It acts like it is just moving the polish around and wetting it further...

Pad is dry and as I try to remove it--same prob removing nxt wax.
Doesn't shine (removing the glaze/wax) until I go over the car and rub the **** out of it by hand, trying to dry/shine the dang thing. Even tried another polish/buff pad hoping that maybe the 1st buff/polish pad had excess moisture from the glaze. Still no luck with polishing out the glaze.

In AR we do have 85% or more humidity with temps at least 75. This is done in the shade...
What could I be doing wrong?
Would a terry bonnet over the foam polishing pad work to buff out the glaze/wax??

    Thanks!

I'd use a microfiber bonnet for removal, same as with wax removal - NOT a foam pad.
With the #7 glaze using either a microfiber bonnet on the buffer or just using microfiber hand towels wipe off, wait 10-15 minutes and using fresh, clean microfiber bonnets or towels wipe down the car again
What am I, fly-paper for morons?

ive never used m07 with a buffer before, but i would not think using a polishing or finishing pad would be recommended for removing the product. those pads are meant for applying/spreading/polishing and not removing. if you want to use a buffer to remove a product (i would not use it with m07) you should use a microfiber bonnet over a cutting pad.

You should remove the residue with a quality microfiber towel; the foam pads are for applying, not removing products. Also you should never allow #7 to dry. It is a product that is to be worked into the paint and immediately removed. You will have a very tough time removing it if allowed to dry.
