  • New shampoo

I was shopping the other day, and I noticed you guys dont sell the gold class shampoo I used to buy, and its replaced by a new one with wax in it as well. Funny story, haha, last summer, I had another crazy idea where I thought on washing and waxing at the same time. It was during a time when I had no time for anything except work, but my car needed attention. So I poured some NXT 2.0 in a bucket, blasted it with hot water, and maybe I put shampoo in it as well, I dont remember... and I proceeded to apply it to the car. It didnt turn out quite as I thought it would! Oh well, it was a good idea in theory... but it made my actual job twice as long in the end. Anyway, since the experts have finally made a wash+wax in one, I cant wait to try it out!!!

Currently, my method is still this:

    Wash
    Clay
    Polish (optional)
    Wax

My understanding is that this product leaves some wax behind... is it good to use a clay bar right after? Or should I use a different shampoo... also can I top it off with NXT 2.0 after using this new shampoo?

Gold Class is still being made.
As for the wash and wax, it is a very good product. I like to use it to give the wax a "boost" between regular waxing.
    quality creates its own demand

The Wash and Wax works really well, but in my opinion is a bit expensive/a waste if you are going to do any sort of detailing after.

I would want to have that and a regular soap like Nxt, Gold Class, etc as well.

haha I guess it's good as an extra layer of protection after the whole
detailing process in between wax jobs

I agree. I saw someone unloading about 10 cases of Sharmor Shall and about 10 cases of Dark Black Magic (not sure if we are allowed to state company names or not). They are running really low on Megs stuff.

UWW does seem a bit expensive; $9 for 48 oz. This si what has really thwarted me from purchasing and trying it out. I would rather stick with Gold Class for $5 at Walmart right now.

I grabbed it a few months ago with a $5 mail-in-rebate. Figured it was worth a try! I like it a lot, and it's great between waxes, especially if you're just doing a quick wash.

Lately I've been using Optimum No-Rinse a lot for quick maintenance washes. Love it!

Ahhhh! I forgot about that rebate! I actually had it sitting on my desk and just put it off every day for some reason. Oh well, I have a few details coming up so maybe I will reach for the UWW and test it out on my car.

Anyone remember back in the day with the wash/wax that had the "wax beads" in it? I haven't tried UWW yet, but hope it works better than that! Lol...although I find reg GC followed by m135 or UQW is just as fast almost and looks awesome!

Yes, I would tend to pick the UWW or use a spray wax after a 'regular' soap.
