  • ColorX vs. Cleaner Wax

Just finished detailing my daughter's 2009 Silver Subaru Impreza. Clayed it and applied ColorX. It's lookin' good.

Now for her to maintain it by hand two or three times a year -- ColorX or Regular Cleaner wax (Burgandy Bottle)? She is located in Minneapolis. Her car is gaarged every night and most often parked in a parking garage during the day. She puts on about 5,000 miles per year. She doesn't wash it all that often and when she does, she uses a touchless carwash. (Must be her mother's genetics.)

Somewhere I read that the Regular Cleaner Wax is a little more durable than the ColorX. How about it?

Doesnt really matter I dont think, will be good either way.

If it wont be cleaned too often, may like the little extra cleaning ability.

It really is a toss up. Since she is just going to protect, I would say she would get the most benefit from the cleaner wax.

Durability between the two is probably close enough to call it even, but ColorX definitely has more cleaning ability. We're thinking maybe you just leave her with the bottle of ColorX you used to clean up her car in the first place, plus an applicator pad, a couple of microfiber towels, and some UQD.

        Just a thought.

That's exactly what I did. Something about great minds, right?
