Can I use NXT 2.0 on my boat?

I was wondering if I could use NXT 2.0 on my fiberglass boat. I have a 21 ft Baja which is white in color and the gelcoat is in excellent shape. I was curious if I could use my regular Meguiar's car products on the boat or if I should stick with a dedicated marine wax. The boat is strictly a fresh water lake boat, I never take it in salt water. Any help would be appreciated!

The marine wax its dedicated for gel coats and also the salty water will not remove it so quickly. Salty water if you add some air you get the result of OXIDATION, so thats why marine wax last longer than normal wax.

But there is no reason why not to use it.

I would use M50 Cleaner Wax, you can purchase it in liquid or paste form.

You can use NXT on gel coat, but there are better options.

As Nick points out, M50 Marine Cleaner Wax is an excellent choice and with regular use will help prevent the usual slow degradation that any finish, marine, RV or car, will eventually experience. Remember, preventative maintenance is always easier than correction. Use that regularly and maybe even top with Flagship Premium Marine Wax and you'll keep the finish looking great and get great protection.

We would also recommend giving the boat a quick wash after every use, and then quickly wipe it down with Ultimate Quik Wax. That will keep the gloss at max and help to repel water more effectively in the future. Plus UQW is just so fast and easy to use on a very regular basis.

Don't use car products made for Clear Coats on Gel Coats.

Gel Coats are much harder and like was said above, there are great products made for GC.

I love the Cleaner Wax #50, its all purpose, gives great protection, and shine.

Of course you can use it on your boat, i dont know if it will last long but u surely can
