    im kind of new to the detailing game ive always washed my car and waxed it but there is so much more that i didnt know about so i was wondering if all of you guys could help me out i have a 2005 gmc serria dark blue paint i have buffed it this past weekend and there are still swirl marks in the paint so if it is not to much trouble could some one make me a list of the best products to use when detailing and the best tools to get also and also when in the process do i need to add the other products. i need all the help i can get

    If you post a few pics of your swirls we can be a little more specific with our help. Perhaps save you a few dollars as well.

    I personally have a 2009 GMC Sierra Black. This is how I corrected my swirls and carwash scratches.

    I used:
    Meguiar's Detailing clay kit
    G110V2 dual action polisher
    7" W8207 polishing pads (4)
    7" W9027 finishing pads (2)
    Ultimate Compound (16oz. bottle)
    M205 (Ultra Finishing Polish) (32 oz bottle - but you won't use it all)
    NXT 2.0 Tech wax

    note: any job can be done by hand, but it could take you weeks to do a full sized tuck instead of a day or two.

      What did you buff it with? Machine? what kind? By hand? What products used?

        i used a dewalt orbital buffer the side angle one i used 3m rubbing compound then 3m mirror glaze with i think a yellow bad and a black pad for the mirror glaze
