  • Tire Dressing

Having used Stoner More Shine Less Time tire dressing for several years, I am looking to switch to something from the Detailer Line to replace it. I see there are four choices, All Season, Silicone Free, Hyper and Water Based. Does anyone have any suggestions as to which is best for daily drivers? I am looking for a satin black look, not super gloss.

I also find it strange that ADS sells more Megs stuff that Meg's own E-Store?!

Hyper Dressing can be diluted at a few ratios to control the gloss level. Since I'm not a fan of real shiny tires, I use it at either 2:1 or 3:1 (can't remember which).

No experience personally with the others but a lot of guys like the All Season dressing especially in wet weather. All Season is on my list of products to try this summer.

I would suggest hyper dressing diluted 4:1 for a matte look.

ASD will last longer, but may be a bit more glossy that you want, at least at first. Dulls down fairly soon.

And yes, some Meguiars products are only sold through certain retailers.

I personally like the look of ASD. The longevity, the look. Hard to beat imo.

All season dressing let it soak in for bout 15 min then a final wipe. Meg endurance is good too

Where's Nick (Tuck91) when we need him?

My guess is that Nick would (will) recommend All Season Dressing, especially if one likes the look of Stoner All Shine. I have used Stoner numerous times on my wife's cars, and based on the pics I've seen of ASD, the two products seem to bestow a similar gloss. Check out these pics.

I personally love the All Season Dressing on my tires. I got a good week out of it, still looking great, including a couple of gravel road trips. You can really get a custom level of shine out of the product by wiping off the application once applied for less of a shine, although the initial shine is just great. Looks clean, not wet.

This is with a heavy application with no wipe off

I really need to get me some ASD. It's just that I already have sufficient tire dressing to get me through the next five years of so.

I'm in love with it haha.
I use it on anything plastic really. It leaves a great, natural shine. Nothing over the top, just a clean look.
