  • Detailing Towels

I am taking a few days off this week to get some stuff done around the house while my girlfriend is having surgery.

I didnt have time to order towels from ads to use to detail her car.. What towels do you suggest to use to remove ultimate compound and wax that I can get at walmart or wherever? I can just tell the towels I get from ads are so much better then the ones I can get at the store

Try the VRoom brand towels at Target. I think they sell them 10 for $8.

Wal-Mart also sells towles made by Micro-Fiber (yeah, really original). They sell an 8-pack for 5 dollars and they are decent towels. They also have lime green micro-fibers made by Micro-Fiber which are quite plush and do not marr the finish. I used them to dry my dads car today (to put them to the test) and the section that I got swirl free was stil swirl free after being wiped with these towels.

I have tried a bunch of different generic towels to save myself some money and everyone I have used that wasn't a megs towel hologramed or scratched my car. I wish I could find some decent cheaper towels.

Yeah, the Vroom ones seem reasonable enough.

Target has the Vroom brand and pick up the "premium" microfibers that come in either orange, yellow, or blue (store stock will vary in colors). IME after feeling all of them, the blue ones seem to be the softest out of the bunch.

I have not bought any vroom towels. I have heard good things about them. Try them in a pinch.

I tried the vroom towels. You can tell they are cheap, thin, small, linty without a wash first. But they do the job. Just be careful.
