    Re: swirlx question !

Yes, SwirlX is for the entire car.

As far as it being the only thing, depends on what sort of defects, scratches ,swirls etc are on your car.

Any chance of a pic of what you are working on?

thks for reply. Im workin on a legacy sw 05 dark blue, paint not bad,ill post pics later, got here MG clean&polish and MG U.finish, swirlx should be used before this? I dont wanna use a very abrasive polish, dont mind if it only takes like 80% of swirls off

Which product you use to remove below surface defects is going to depend on how severe the defects are or aren't, whether you're working by hand or with a machine of some sort, and how the paint responds to it. On very hard paint with severe defects, SwirlX may be too mild and not remove much of the defects at all. But on very soft paint it might be the only thing you need to fix everything.

thks for help, so if i use ultimate compound with soft cut pad would be enough to take of those hard swirls ? ive used other cut polish from other brands and the paint lose all its shine and then take lots of work to get the shine back, thats why i dont like very abrasive polish, but i never used a meguiars cut polish, can you tell me which one is better and that it wont take the shine from the paint ?

          thks

Ultimate Compound with our yellow W8207 Polishing Pad can do wonders for paint. It certainly won't dull the paint down (unless you have extremely soft and delicate paint, but that always requires a fairly unique polishing process).

Have a look at this thread and this one to see what UC can do for both badly neglected single stage black, and heavily swirled clear coat black (that is also known to be very hard paint).
