  • Before I order a G110V2... a few questions.

I am interested in getting a G110V2. Since I am ordering it online I want to make sure i order enough pads for it since this will be my first DA Polisher.

I plan on using this with the consumer lines first (Since thats what I have atm); using UC, Scratch-X, and NXT Wax.

Will Two Meguiar's W8207 Foam Polishing Pad and One Meguiar's W9207 Foam Finishing Pad be enough for 1 car?

Do I need to go ahead and get a Cutting pad (Red)?

While I don't mind spending money I just want to make sure i get enough pads to do the job but not over spend since im still so new. I see ADS has alot of different Combo packs that come with the G110V2 and also a Foam Pad Combo.

    Thank you for your time.

I would recommend starting with 6 pads (minimum). 4 polishing pads (yellow) and 2 finishing pads (black). Do NOT get the cutting pad (burgandy).

Believe me you will want the extra pads. A clean pad works much better and you should change to a new pad every few panels, even if you are cleaning the pad on the fly. You'll also likely be doing a bit of experimenting as you are just learning and the more pads you have the more you can experiment.

Trust me on this one, get at least 6 pads.

Also, get some of the 4 inch pads and this backing plate for getting in tighter areas. You'll need 'em.

I don't know if you were aware of this package:

Free shipping, and a good deal on the 6 pads, you can choose which ones you want.

I got the package with the 3 pads and have regretted it since. Go with a bigger package and save yourself the cost and grief of ordering them in the future.

I personally like using the machine to remove the wax. For this I would get the cutting pad. You will also need 4-5 bonnets to place over the cutting pad to remove the wax.

Just to add. If you go this route, the bonnets are reversible. After you do a 1/4 of the vehicle flip the bonnet over. After you do half of the vehicle, get a new bonnet, and repeat.
