  • Can this be fixed?

I was not to sure where else to ask this, so it might be in the wrong spot or forum as a whole...

Anyway some inconsiderate person open their door into mine, and it left a pretty bad crease. I was able to get the red paint off it with a detail but the dent is still there. Here are the pictures.

you can only see it from some angles so its not that bad.

Look up PDR in your area. (Paintless Dent Removal). It worked for me.

+1 Definitely look into Paintless Dent Removal. I had 2 creases on my old Mazda 3 and they got them right out! I just love inconsiderate people....especially when I am so careful not to touch their cars! Good luck man!

+2. A quick and easy PDR repair. Just make sure that you have a good PDR tech.

It looks pretty minor as far as PDR goes. You should have no issues if the tech is competition. I always park on the far end of the lot. Somebody still always seems to park next to you even if the lot is empty

Can anyone provide a ballpark price of what a PDR repair costs for a dent similiar to this?

              Around $40 in my area.

Don't be surprised if a good and reputable PDR tech charges $100 per panel, but it can be as low as $40 like Dubbin1 said...i guess everything's more expensive in NY.

I had a dent similar to yours removed a few weeks ago. It took the tech longer to set up his lights than it took for for him to remove the dent. I know the owner of the detail shop pretty well. He said, "No charge just give the tech $20 for a pizza." I'd say less than $50 for your dent. Oh, I have had lots of PDR work done at this shop over the years, both big stuff and little stuff. Find a good shop and stick with it.
