I cannot say I noticed anything negative about using it after being diluted.

I wouldn't use anything but distilled unless you know your tap water is perfect. It's 99 cents around here for a gallon. I keep 3-4 gallons in the garage for mixing with LT, ISP, or anything else I might need water for after the initial wash.

      Re: Hazing with Last Touch

I've been using LT 1:1 for my clay lube and I like it for that purpose. I've never put together a spray bottle of LT RTU, undiluted, since I'm happy with what LT 1:1 does for me as a "quick detailer". I don't really use quick detailers though for anything but a wipe off of certain spots. I see others comment/ask about the endurance of different quick detailers but I guess I don't see the point since my cars always have generous amounts of sealants/waxes on them. Can quick detailers actually add anything to that finish? Maybe? But I like to think of it as quick detailers just take the paint back to where it was after the wax, and using them allows you to wipe off surfaces that may not be entirely free of dust without worrying about scratches.
Also, I know the benefits of using distilled, soft, or even r.o. water with chemicals or in general, but I use tap water and haven't had any problems with it. Like hacker-pschorr said though, distilled water is relatively cheap just to try out and rule it out as a possibility if you don't get better results with just plain dilution.

Do you still get the haze even when using two MFs? Is the second MF used for the final wipe dry?

Also, does the car gets washed with car shampoo regularly?

Or is it wiped down with QD only, since you mentioned that the car is garaged most of the time.
Yes, I still get the haze with two MF's (but not till a few days later, when the car is taken out of the garage), and the second MF is used for the final wipe.

It depends how dirty the car gets. Lately, (the past four weekends in a row)due to combination of good weather and me not driving it much, it has been QD'd only. Other than that, I'll wash it with Meg's NXT or Gold Class shampoo. It will get either washed or QD'd every weekend.

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Thanks very much for your input. I will use distilled water this weekend if I can get some. Failing that, I'll just try tap water and see how it goes.
