  • BIRD Bombs, Beach Towels and No-Rinse

I take care of a friends daily-driver and yesterday touched up the hood with Ultimate Detailer and Ultimate Spray wax.

Today I saw that a 2 x 4 sq. foot area of the hood was plastered with dried bird droppings.

I had some no-rinse already mixed up and so I soaked a cheap, light weight beach towel and laid it on the hood. Some soaked paper towels took care of the remaining spots. Added a cup of solution to top off the towels so they were saturated but not dripping.

Towels soaked for about 15 minutes and then I rolled them up being careful not to rub the paint.

The usual no-rinse wash/dry and another coat of Ultimate Spray Wax (Which I suspect made it all possible) and I am one happy guy.

I used ONR, but think I recall diluted hyperdressing working just as well.

hahaha... ok i was wondering in my mind how would the hyperdressing look in the hood mmm.... HAHAHA!

i believe thats the best thing we can do to prevent bird drops to damage our paint.

Takes so much work to clean them up. They seem to hit right after a wash. Hyperdressing....sheeeesh!

Like 1 week ago i washed my neighbors Brand New Nissan Xtrail 2010 BLACK! And i told her if she wanted me to apply coat of wax for protection, she said not now since the car was "Brand New" (Full of swirls from the washes she received in the dealership, here in DR they wash car with Sponges from Couch and such) she didnt think she needed a coat of wax.

Today about 30 minutes ago i went downstairs to walk my little chihuahua and guess what i found.

I looked arround her truck and saw miss counted arround 10 bird drops. And all i could think is Ouch! Its gonna be a pain in the @$^^& next time i wash it.

After i started detailing, i also started to hate BIRDS!

Hmmmmm......I think I know why Megs' works so hard on the smell of it's products.

Is it me, or does NXT hint of fresh birdseed?
