Anyway, With the Meguiar’s products that I use, I probably don’t even get the total use of the products longevity. Whether I’m just washing/maintaining, waxing or full detail with clay and paint correction. I know that I was still getting good looks and protection from my previous labors. So, for me using a Polycharger additive would be just a waste of money, like most boutique waxes I have to look at the point of diminishing returns.

    Just my 2 cents......
very true. see, i use all boutique waxes ie: fuzion, souveran, sig II etc. but that's another story. weird how mike phillips joined the autogeek family? hmmmmmmmm. just my 2 pennies.

now back to boutique. see, i don't mind spending money on a product that i can use to add longevity to the surface. thing is i will layer it when finished like when i use the ch2. so underneath whatever wax i apply i will have added protection. the polycharger is to help my sealant for protection, the wax is for nothing but looks because we all know most waxes don't last but a few weeks. that i don't mind due to the fact i wax every 2-3 weeks. layering is what i'm all about.

but, i can definetly relate to what your saying, guess that is where the :to each their own" comes into play. everyone has different techniques thus how we learn from each other. thankyou for responding to my thread. getting different answers and opinions is excellent.

Since you are newer, perhaps you should go back and do some reading, lol. Though, either way, I don't know what that has to do with boutique waxes.

There's a thread somewhere. I think it's in the announcement section.

I think this is the thread Tyler was referring to.

And here's a post by Mike within that thread that may explain my poor attempt at a little humor in my early post.

corolla619, Sorry if you misunderstood my post or I was not very clear on what my point was, which is "diminishing returns".

Also, I don't' fully agree with your statement below. Understandably, different waxes will give you a slightly different look on a given paint. But, mainly a wax or sealant is to protect the looks you achieved with all the hard prep work, like wet sanding, claying and polishing etc.

And with that previously mentioned prep work your wax job should last longer than just a few weeks.

            Layering?

of course i understand diff. waxes will acheive different levels ie: depth, glow etc. same reason i have souveran, fuzion, dodo light, sigII etc. all produce different results to different colors. hope that was clear enough.

as for layering: ie: start with brand x to correct followed with brand x to seal(see i like a sealant for it's protective qualities and longevity)topped/...."layered" with your favorite nuba. that would be my lsp.

of course i have seen my waxes last far longer than a few weeks. see i dig it into my own head not to really let my intervals fall out of 2-3 weeks. to me this is good practice, thus depending on how much you worry about the enviromental contaminents attacking your paint.

for the record, i never meant anything harsh about bringing up mike phillips. see, i am a very avid member of the auto geek family. i have always been a meguiars fan which is why i joined this community also, but not under the circumstances of getting poked and prodded at.

i tried to explain myself to the best of my knowledge. so let's see how far this went off topic, i was asking from advice on polycharging uqw and this is what it ended up into? i thought we were all here to help each other, not attack under hidden agendas?

just because i'm new here and my posts are low most definetly does not mean my experience is by any means.

              tia.

I think they've just misunderstood your posts. Let's get back to Polycharging everyone.
