Well, it certainly isnt easy by hand...

#205 is a little milder than SwirlX.

Then #105 is a little stronger than UC, could do a bit better by hand with it.

They don' t sell 105 in Brazil.

If you were to apply 205 by hand, would you do just like a cleaner wax? Is there a proper method to use this kind of product by hand? I ask because of this SMAT technology.

You would want to work it into the paint with more passion than a cleaner/wax, kind of focusing on a 1 foot square to work the product in.

And be carefull to use your palm, and across your fingers, not finger tips.

Bluher, for routine swirl removal the M83 you have on hand is going to be your best choice overall. It does an outstanding job and offers quite a bit of cutting ability. When your new G110v2 arrives use the M83 with a polishing pad, but make sure to clean that pad very regularly and don't over use the product. Clean the pad by very firmly pressing it against a terry cloth towel and then switch the tool on for a few seconds. This will force excess product out of the pad and into the towel. It is important to do this because M83 utilizes diminishing abrasives and it really works best when build up is NOT allowed to happen. For best results with M83, switch to a completely fresh pad a couple of times when doing an entire car.

Now, M83 will often leave a near flawless finish, but on some paint finishes it may give you a slight bit of hazing. This is where M205 will come in and really bring a high level of clarity to the finish using either a polishing pad or a finishing pad - that may well depend how the paint responds. Odds are a finishing pad at a slightly lower speed will give you exactly what you want. Like we said, you may not need to do this step on some cars, but only you can make that determination as you evaluate your progress.

Working by hand can give excellent results, but it takes more muscle, skill and patience to create a uniform finish by hand than with a D/A.

Tomorrow i am going to do that, I am also going to take pictures so you can have a better idea of the results I am getting!

Michael, I have another situation, I mean, not with my fathers car but with my sister' s car. Meguiars Claybar is very, but very expensive here, and they only sell the red one. I used one of that on my dad' s car. Now for my sister' s car I got a smooth claybar from another company, and well.. it seemed like a rock and when I did a test spot with Quick Detailer, it let residuos over my paint! I fixed applying cleaner wax, and ok.. but I am not going to use that claybar again, but what now? My sister car is really in need of a good claybar, what do do?

And there is another question. Now it envolves my car. Well, there is a few micro scratches, very few, but I believe it was caused by wash, because they are not exactly swirls but tiny straight scratchs. and they are on the roof.. Well, my question is, what to use on my car? I mean his paint is smooth as class and super shine.

In this case, should I skip M83 and go on direct to 205? Or should I just ignore them? I am asking because I plan to do a complete detailing! xD

Oh, and M82, M83, 205.. how often can these products be used on a car? I mean, do they eat much of the clear coat?

Before going to college I tried to find claybars but all I could find is 3M "agressive" claybar and very expensive, U$40. Is it good?

It's funny how Meguiars professional line products are inexpensive and the consumer line is so over priced. I mean here, in Brazil.

Guess what? Ultimate Quick Detailer and #205 are priced the same U$28. =P

Agressive clay, at least from Meguiars, can leave some marking/swirls behind on the paint. I would try to avoid it if I could.

Well, if it worked, and left the paint in good condition (no added swirls), then you could still use it. You will be using a paint cleaner after anyway.

And there is another question. Now it envolves my car. Well, ignoring is up to you. #205 will probably be a good choice to work on them.

Those are all quite mild as far as things go. You could use them every month safely for years and years. But I think you will find with good washing, and hopefully a spray wax if there is an affordable one, (or at least UQD/#135) you should get 2-3 months from your coat of wax. Esp #83 should be needed least of all.

But it gives me panic to see residues stuck on the paint =/

Well, its not good... But if it didnt leave any damage/swirls, and came off ok, it cant be too bad.

I tend to do a good swirl removal once a year (spring) with #80. May use #80 more often, but not as focused on swirl removal.

Got a few more water spots, etc built up now though, might need to go to a little stronger product this time.
