  • Do I have a hard clearcoat?

How do I know if I have a soft or hard clearcoat? Does this affect how I polish out swirls?

I drive a 08 Dodge Charger and have had limited success polishing out swirls.. I've been told I have to really lean into the porter cable.. is that because I have a "hard clearcoat?"

    Thanks guys!

You could well have a hard clearcoat.

"Leaning into" your PC will only cause it to slow down and stop rotating, which wont help you at all. If you're having troubles removing swirls, you should try a more agressive compound. What are you using at the moment?

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.
