Pics would be helpful. Do you know if it is single stage, CC?

At any rate, the basic process by hand would be:

    1. Wash - Gold Class Wash, 2 buckets, good towels, etc.
    2. Clay - Smooth Surface Clay kit, maybe an extra QD bottle
    3. Clean - Test spot with SwirlX. Step up to Ultimate Compound if needed. Then do the entire car with which ever product is needed.
    4. Polish - Optional, but would be good in this case. Deep Crystal Polish is good and easy to use.
    5. Wax - Nxt 2.0 or Gold Class 2.0 are good products.
    6. Wax - 2 thin coats are best.

    7. Maintain - I like Ultimate Quick Wax for after future washes.

      Hey james denton

Like murr suggusted in the steps.

But you never know what you can do until you try, so grab some meguiars clay-cleaner-polish and wax and start off with the least aggressive cleaner and do a test spot.

Sometimes it helps to start with a cleaner if the paints been neclected as the case with this post, before you move on to the clay so you don't load up your clay with old dead paint and oxidation from the surface your working on. Now use the clay to remove the above surface contaminants(consumers - mild or the aggressive) which the aggressive clay will need to be followed by rotary to remove the haze.

Then go to the cleaning step again, to remove the contaminants out of the paint. Followed by a polish to penetrate into the paint to replenish the oils back in your cars paint. Last apply 2 thin coats of your favorite wax or sealant and stand back and enjoy how you just brought the paint back to life!

Let us know your process and of course before and after pics.

      Hope I've helped

Follow the advice above and you will probably not need a repaint. But of course this depends on how neglected the paint is.

Worse case scenario, you will refine your techniques for the paint after it is repainted. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.

I think the paint is a ACRYLIC ENAMEL with hardner in it --it's a single stage paint -it not base coat clear coat paint----
