    Re: seatbelts????

I had great success cleaning the light grey belts in my 7-Up Car. I used good old shaving foam (the aerosol kind). I laid a towel over the white leather seats to keep them clean and pulled the belt out, then applied the foam to a microfiber and worked the belt with it. After I got the dirt out, I used a secont microfiber dampened with water to remove as much of the shaving foam as possible, and then left the belts clipped into the seatbelt buckle with the windows down a little for a couple of days to dry. They came out nice and clean. Smelled pretty good too...

Thanks for all the answers gang . I work in a dealership in parts and took an interest in this after our so called detail dept couldn't get it out. Lets just say i can out polish them without even trying. Unfortunately there glorified car washers. Probably not there fault i doubt they've ever been properly trained.

Steam works awesome as well, with little or no chemicals used at all......

I believe you're correct. I remember seeing a thread about it some time ago. I just couldn't remember who posted it.

Would this qualify as the KBM2?

So I was in my car and remembered I had some Meguiar's cleaner wipes, so I pulled one out and gave the seat belt a good scrub, and VOILA, no more sweat stains! The stains had been there for months so I thought it'd be tougher to take them out.. lol Oh well, learned something new!

If you're handy and have the tools around you could always remove the seat belts and pressure wash them. I've done both methods, since some belts can't be removed, and the PW works a lot better and faster. The first removal may take a little extra time but once you get the hang of it the process actually saves time over scrubbing and extracting.

You never know what you can do until you try.

You wouldn't believe some of the things I've done that,(THEY SAY) can't or wont work. Just take your time and think about how things work and what the outcome could be if something went wrong (just warning you that things can and do go wrong alot, but you also stumle on to things)trickle things down from your own experience on what you've tried before.

I like to test and do lots of experiments on different things like metals and paints so if you try out some things, do like me before you could take a chance on tearing or messing something up get test panels and junk metals.

Because like I said you never know what you can do until you try!

I've used my LGM 1425 with the pro heat and they turn out fantastic.

Sprayed with APC and used a scrub brush and then used the LGM like you would on carpet using the heat of course. Surprised me how nice they turned out!
