    Hi,

I'm going to attempt my detail of an older black truck:

    1. "Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner" can/should I use my G111?

    2. Does "M7" and or "M80" replace polish, or used instead of polish?

    3. With older black truck "Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner" + "Deep Crystal Polish"
    or "M80?"

    Thanks
    Rico

    2. Does "M7" and or "M80" replace polish, or used instead of polish?M07 is a pure polish and contains no abrasives. M80 is a cleaner/polish so it contains both cleaning abrasives and polishing oils similar to M07.

In addition to the comments in red above, let's try to clear some things up for you.

Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner is a very mild paint cleaner that works well on all paint systems, but lacks the power to get out really severe defects.

M07 and Deep Crystal Polish are what we call Pure Polish, meaning they are gloss enhancers only and contain no cleaning abrasives at all. They can do wonders to restore lost color on older, faded single stage paints and help darken or richen the color on a clear coat paint system. This effect is most noticeable on darker colors, so using one of these products on your black truck is a good option. You do want to use a paint cleaner first, however, as these pure polishes work best on a well prepared surface.

M80 is a cleaner/polish that uses a diminishing abrasive for cleaning and defect removal. It is noticeably more aggressive than Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner, but still quite a mild product. It also contains a generous amount of the same type polishing oils found in M07 so it, too, will go a long way to restoring gloss and depth to the color.

Whether your truck has a single stage paint system or a base coat/clear coat system, you're probably going to be happier with the M80 on a foam polishing pad with the G110 than you will be with the DC Paint Cleaner. The job will go faster, more defects will be removed, and the color will show more depth and richness. You can still follow the M80 with the M07 for additional depth and gloss, but even after that you will need to finish with a wax or sealant. NXT Tech Wax 2.0, Deep Crystal Carnauba, Gold Class, or M26 are all excellent choices here and it really comes down to personal preference.
