  • What would you do?

What would be the best way to use a DA on a car like below with large stick on graphics? What method would you use? Just buff right over the graphics very quickly or tape everything off?

The stickers on the car I'm looking at is the same and they are fading themselves. Would a light buff with 205 on speed 1 or 2 with a g110 help bring back the color some? What product would help restore the sun damage to the stickers. The rest of the car will receive 105/205 buff.

There isnt really a product for that.

Some people have used something like the Trim Detailer, but its not one of those 'recomended uses'.

Stay away from those stripes. My friend has a black 2009 Challenger with the black matte stripes and that is dangerous to try and buff.

Stay away from buffing them. There really is not a permanent fix for those large decals.

Tape off the decal area. You can always hand polish the spots in between.

Will the adhesive on "Painter's Tape" damage the decals? Will removing the damage the decals??

                  ...Just curious.

When you buy tape, just look to make sure it's the delicate surface type and it should be ok.
