Yeah it won't hurt, but if your in a budget it will burn a whole in your wallet. Ads has them, autogeek aswell. They have a sale prize when you get two.

The Homer buckets with a snap on lead are less than $5. No one seems to be discounting the grit guards (manufacturer must be setting a floor price) except through the usual discount codes, etc.

When buying to bucket, look straight down the sides. If it goes straight down then you are probably good. If you see it taper in, the guard will probably only go 3/4 the way down.

may i ask why you want the grit gaurd bucket ? its literally the same bucket you would get at lowes or home depot with just a grit gaurd logo on the bucket...i ordered my grit gaurds from ADS..then went to lowes and spent 4 bucks for 5 gallon buckets

FWIW, I have read where some buckets taper towards the bottom and the Grit Guard doesn't go all the way to the bottom.
The measure and check suggestion is a good one.

I'd get the Grit Guard and then measure it, and then go buy your bucket, just to be safe. But yeah, any store should have some 5 gallon type that works.

Like the above post said, do not get the buckets online, they're a rip off. Buy the grit guards online only and get the buckets yourself, it'll fit fine.
