I have been using this forum for a few weeks now and can't believe the dedication of the staff and the users. I have learned a ton and found everyone very polite and understanding.

The response time from Admins like Stoops and Moderators like Kleis is awesome. When you blend that with advice from dedicated users like Murr, and other quality posts from peeps like Yalerd and akimel... you have one heck of forum.

Let's all take a minute to give props to those who help us along the road of our detailing adventures.

    Re: Props

Yeah this is definitely one of the most helpful forums on the internet.

It's a combination of helpful staff, helpful members, good rules, good moderators, and overall good quality information. But most of all, it reflects the attitude that Meguiar's has towards their customers: The utmost respect. You teach free classes, feed the students, provide them with free use of your top-of-the-line products, give great customer CARE, and this is what you get: a forum full of amazed and dedicated people. If they have that, they have lifelong customers and word-of-mouth marketing. This mean's everyone's happy.

    Thanks Meguiar's!

On behalf of all our moderators and everyone here at Meguiar's, thanks for the kind words! But without all you guys we'd just be sitting here staring at each other, so it's really the whole community - meaning all of YOU - that really makes MOL such a great learning and teaching environment. So a big "thanks" to all of you!

I frequent many Detailing Forums, but MOL is always my first stop and where I call home.

Thanks go out to Mike Stoops, the MODS, and all the members!

                            Re: Props

Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I think there is something more than meets the eye going on here with this forum. Let me explain.
To help set the stage, I am not a detailer and was not even diligent about keeping my family cars clean; but then…
I started out as an occasional visitor; became a regular visitor; joined as a member; started washing the cars regularly; added claying and waxing to the routine; now UQD every day.
It gets worse, now I can’t look at a car without seeing swirls; I just placed my first order with ADS spending over $300 (although a big chunk of this was for the new DA).
It has spread to my wife too; since I have started keeping her car so clean, she goes out of the way when she parks to get a spot to avoid dings.
I am not sure of the technology at play here, but think this sight must be emitting some sort of signal to alter behaviors.

I certainly appreciate the shout-out - it means a lot. Let's also not forget our man Andy M., who is often doing work behind the scenes without notice!

A lot of the moderator work is "invisible," but we are glad to do it to help out such a great community.

                              You guys are the best!
