I would like to know, what gives the wet look finish, is it techniques or using the correct products?

    Please advise.

              Re: Wet Look

If you are really looking for that wet-look, pick up some DC2-polish or M07-glaze, and apply it after the cleaner and before the wax.

Some colors and paints show the effect more than others, but it NEVER hurts.

When I think of wet paint, M205 is one of the first products to come to mind. M205 does a fantastic job of removing the fine scratches and haze, which in turns increase gloss and depth, giving the paint a "wet" look.

                  Re: Wet Look

to me the "wet look" comes from a properly prepper surface, so no swirls scratches haze etc to get in the way. the wax is the icing on the cake!

you can have the best products in the world and not acheive great results if proper technique or passion doesnt goes into the vehicle. also use the right products for the job. hows the condition of the paint your working on? remember to use the least agressive method first!

theres alot of great info on this site that you will find.. let us know how it comes out looking!

                    Re: Wet Look

                    ^ +1 ... Preparation is the key.

Even if you dont have swirls or haze etc, a good claying +paintCleaner will prepare the surface for the subsequent polish+wax and maximize the result.

The polish/glaze conditioning oils will help hide many defects and enhance what you have, but best results come from not having any defects (swirls etc) and having a fully prepared surface so that what you are enhancing is as good as it gets.
