I am still somewhat confused on which cleaner to use when... here is shorthand what I "think" (this is not meant to be a comprehensive features list of each product):
ColorX and Deep Crystal System Cleaner: very light or no swirls.
SwirlX: light swirls
ScratchX: swirls, fine scratches and oxidation.
Ultimate Compound: moderate swirls, scratches and oxidation.
Then there is the "Cleaner Wax" which appears to be an AIO product. If so, I don't really want any substantial "wax" in my cleaner as I will do the waxing in a later step. So I generally don't even count that as a cleaner for my uses. I have used it on wheels.
First, please correct any wrong information in the above.
Second, Megs seems to always say to use the product only strong enough to do the job at hand. As the cars I work on are in decent shape, I usually only use the stronger products in spot areas. Where I get confused is when to use SwirlX verses ColorX or DC System Cleaner. Is it safe to just use SwirlX all the time and forget about ColorX / DCSC? What are the ramifications here?
