  • question about rain water

I needed to start my detailing of a 1999 corvette, however the weather shows rain likely for at least several days, maybe a week. This time of year I believe them.

Today, I pulled the car out of the garage while it was sprinkling a mist type rain off and on. I washed with Gold Class and dried with leather. However, it was misting pretty good and it had some rain water on it when i pulled it back in the garage.

I finished drying and then went back over the car with Quick Detailer.

So my question. Is it ok to move forward with clay or do I need to wait out the rain and rewash?

Yeah, you can clay now. If you can do all your work in the garage, you will be in good shape.

Thanks, I actually clayed this thing a couple of weeks ago but am doing it again for a few reasons. Hey you don't wash in between clay and cleaner right?

I do a quick wash after i clay, just to get whatever residue i missed that didn't come off after i wiped. But you certainly don't have to.
