Swirls/scratches in plastic

Hi All,

I would like to remove the swirl/scratch marks on the console of my Saab Aero. The area is a simulated wood coated with clear plastic. I just purchased #10 Clear Plastic Polish and #17 Clear Plastic Cleaner. How can I do this?

I plant to use some Plastic X to remove minor scratches from my CD player head unit and from the plastic fake chrome located in the front of my truck. Can anyone share some experiences on how to use this product?
