Greetings all,
I am beginning to plan out how I will setup my garage for lighting since I will be doing some detailing. My garage is very small, roughly 10x20 feet. Obviously fluorescent lighting is not good for showing swirls or holograms, only deeper RIDS seem to show well under fluorescent lights.
I have been experimenting with incandescent bulbs and they seem to do a much better job at showing swirls. Halogens also show swirls very well, however since my garage is so small, it's difficult to setup a stand with halogen lights to correct paint, there is very little space on the sides of the car.
I am trying to setup some type of permanent lighting that I don't need to move around. I would like to be able to see all the swirls immediately when the car is parked in the garage.
I have seen pictures of the Meguiar's garage and I see fluorescent lights in it, however there are also other lights which I cannot identify. They don't look like halogens. I don't know if anyone can confirm if they are possibly metal hallide?
Thanks!
