    M205 into a glaze that only lasts for a day? M205 is an abrasive polish. While M205 may hide some defects it's not any more likely to do so with a polishing pad than a finishing pad IME.
    It is mostly the filler in the polish - on a DD it will wear off very soon. With a finishing pad there is next-to-no corrective ability with 205 unless your paint is butter.

      I have to agree here. If you wipe down with alcohol after using M205 you will see defects return. I've done it using a rotary and an old hood. (thanks Frank) The only way to a true defect free finish is a true compound. However, I don't think that was the question here.

          Hi Andy,

          Yes it was not directly on the question in the OP but it was a rebuttle to someone who disagreed with my original advice (the second post) which WAS on topic (I think).
