  • Cracking Leather fix?

    Hello guys,

I remember seeing something a bit ago about how someone used some sort of leather restoration kit and it made the leather look like new with a lot less to virtually no cracking marks..ect

My dads car has this problem pretty bad as well as color fading do to Florida sun and no tints(I keep telling him :O ) Some parts of leather around the door are pretty much gone, I cant really get any good pics of it right now.

So any how, are there any Meguiar products that I can let set and will greatly improve the look of the leather?

Also What type of leather brush's are out there? I used my MF cloth with some Gold Class Leather cleaner/conditioner but it takes a lot of scrubbing and doesn't really make it look much better.

    Thanks

    Re: Cracking Leather fix?

If the leather is actually cracking there is nothing you can do, damage can't be repaired by putting a bit of conditioner on it (would be cool if that did work though ) . I'm not familiar with the thread you are talking about, but you may have just seen dirt that was imbedded in the crevices of the leather that was removed by the cleaning process.

Pics are needed to give any real advice so the extrent of the damage can be seen.

Generic cleaning of leather is using an all purpose cleaner (APC) to clean and then a conditioner afterwards to protect. Megs makes both of these. For heavy duty cleaning you may need to look online instead of a local store to get what you need.
