    Re: ONR with full detail?

I also forgot to mention Meguiars does offer a similar product. Although the packaging is only available in Australia (I believe, don't quote me), the product itself is just relabeled LTD. I have tried ONR and LTD and I feel that LTD is much easier to work with, and achieves much better results, however that could be the megs in me.

      Re: ONR with full detail?

I've had nothing but misery from the product when used instead of a shampoo and rinse. I've tried a number of sponges and other applicators, but just can't get it not to marr or even scratch my fine paint.

I do use it pre-detail, though. If I am going to be polishing a single panel and there's no need to get the hosepipe out then making up a litre of ONR for dust and dirt removal prior to machining the panel, it's fine.

I don't think Meguiar's markets the LTD as a rinseless wash, even for the Australian market.

I do think Meguiar's will market a rinseless wash sometime in the future.
        Hopefully, in the near future.

            Only hoping.
I don't really have any reason to think it will be released at SEMA, but there is always the chance.
The one thing that kind of makes me doubt it happening is the fact that Mequiar's hasn't introduced it in Australia and those people need water conservation help. It will probably be there before it is here.

Given that I have had good results with QEW, DP RW&G, and ONR, I will get by anyway.

You should be fine with ONR. Since you're doing a full detail with a polish and all, you shoulldn't have too much to worry about.
ONR seems to be a pretty great product, and you theoretically shouldn't have any problems.

If the car is not that dirty, I would rather just use Megs LTD in a spray bottle 1:1 to get the job done. I guess I don't have a "mild dirty" to where I feel the ONR is a benefit.

Given that hundreds, maybe thousands are using rinseless washes with good luck, (One poster here using it for years), it's unfortunate that you guys are having the problems with it.
While trying to resolve those problems on Meguiar's forum might not be courteous, I would be glad to direct you to some links that have some information if you want to PM me.

And I don't sell ONR or shill for them.
Right now I have ONR, DP Rinseless Wash & Gloss, and Protect All Quick & Easy Wash on hand and all three work for me.
