    Re: Endurance high gloss question

I used to be a big fan of gels but now I just use Hot Shine aerosol, Insane Shine aerosol, or ASD.

      Re: Endurance high gloss question

Well I'm a little disappointed with this product. I applied it a few days back, and the following day it started raining. After 30 km in the rain, the car in the garage for the night and a few extra km the following day, the product was completely gone from the tires... I thought it would resist rain a little better than that...

Did you rub it in thoroughly when you applied it?

That's very unlikely that the Endurance gel is completely gone after one short jaunt in the rain. That stuff is hard to clean off brushes with soap and water, so I wouldn't think a little road spray from rain would have much affect. I've had it last 2 weeks with a car wash thrown in and still had product on the tire. The gloss may have reduced, but are you sure there is no longer product on the tire. Swipe your finger on the tire and see if any comes off.

Is it possible you didn't put enough on initially?

I usually apply 2 coats and wipe off any excess after letting set for an hour. Endurance in my experience lasts longer than all other tire products (Meguiars included). Only drawback for me is that it's kind of messy and time consuming to apply.

            Tuck,

You seem to be the tire care guru here. Have you found the aerosol's better or less messy than say the Tire foam? I use the Megs Tire foam and I like how it's a foam and walk away, but normally you have to go back and clean up the rims after your done, just another step.

I applied it twice. I'll check tomorrow if swiping the tire gives it bacj its shine ;-)

You may not experience the shine you had when you first applied it as with most products the gloss will dissipate over time. Most likely you will still have a nice satin finish which is what I prefer anyway, but there still should be product on the tire.
