  • What am I forgetting?

I had some phone rebate cards to spend so why not use them on Meguiars products? Basically I'm looking to just maintain my trucks appearance. It was completely re-painted back in June. It has since been wet sanded and buffed. Give me some ideas of cleaners to order or try out. Right now the clear coat is smooth as can be and I've been using the ultimate quick detailer on it before I take it out or use at shows. I have a box full of the basic consumer line, but was looking into getting some of the professional line of cleaners

Here's what I ordered so far:

    -Ultimate Quick Detailer- 8 Bottles
    -Quick Wax- 2 bottles
    -Ultimate compound (for the DD)
-4 sets of (3) supreme shine microfibers
    -M105
    -Microfiber application pads
-Meguiar's M0901 Swirl Remover (Gallon for DD)
    -Fine Cut Cleaner
    - Synthetic Sealant 2.0
-Vinyl and Rubber Cleaner and Conditioner

Besides getting the G110 buffer, what else would be helpful to have in the collection?

    What are you forgetting?

How about an "Open for business" sign?

Maybe some tire dressing. Are there any paint defects you are concerned about? If you can, post some pics for a better recommendation of products.

mayb instead of ordering 8 bottles of UQD get a gallon of Synthetic Spray Detailer.
since your ordering m105, order a bottle of Ultra Finishing Polish
i would take out the Swirl Remover/Fine Cut Cleaner and just use SwirlX... not sure if you have a DA yet, but all of these products work great by hand. If no DA, get some more applicator pads and more mf towels and you should be set.

I use the hot shot tire spray which is the best tire "wet" that I've used. Bought all that walmart had awhile back when they had it on sale for $3 a can. In terms of the paint, there really aren't any defects that I can see. I did forget to add M205 to the list. I just don't want to overload my clearcoat with products, but I want it to look good and protect it. Here's some pictures:

I'm guessing you have glass cleaner right?

And how about some polish for your wheels?

If they are clear coated then you don't need wheel polish, or else you can get some extra shine with some wheel polish.

I've been using Rain-X on all my windows, but does meguiars make a good glass cleaner? I just use water and soap on the rims. I tired the chrome cleaner but I was not too impressed.

A plain metal polish would be nice to have but i haven't seen a product like that in the meguiars line.

I love the NXT Glass Cleaner. Works great for me.

Water and soap is the preferred way to clean rims ( in the other thread regarding wheel cleaners) , unless your rims are really neglected.

From your pictures I think you can do well without the polish.

But dang, your ride is already gleaming!! Since you are attending shows, a product similar to the UQD for the wheels is the Meguiars Quik Wheel Detailer.

Thank You! I'll check out the wheel quick cleaner. A local business is going out of business and they have been having liquidation sales so I'm going to see what meguiars products they have left. Last week they had 25% off and I was tempted to buy all the clay they had left. Mine as well stock up for in the future.
