I recently bought NXT.2 after glowing reports about how great it is. I tried it and used the same steps that i have used with Gold Class past wax. The NXT leaves a film that is tough to get off. I have used small areas and large areas. I have waited a few minutes and have wiped off immediately. The same problem exists. Any suggestions?

Re: problems with NXT.2
Yes on applying thin layer, crystal clear car wash, I have clay bared, m80 because it only needed a light correction, I waxed it in the shade with the purple applicator. I have used a high cotton fiber towel to take it off. Could there be a difference between liquid and paste that I do not know about. By the way, WHEN I did get it off the sections that did not have the dark film on it, looked FANTASTIC!Sleepy

Re: problems with NXT.2
I've had no problems with the liquid version. I also have the paste, but haven't used it yet. I hear that paste-type wax is generally a little more difficult to remove (because it's "harder"?). Did you rewash your car after using M80? That could do the trick.
I also use a simple twice-folded MF cloth to remove wax. I forget what they are made out of, but they work fine.

Re: problems with NXT.2
How long did you allow NXT to dry before you removed it?
Given that you applied a thin coat, the most plausible explanation is that it was not given sufficient time to set up properly. Depending on ambient conditions, it may take up to 30-45 to dry.

Re: problems with NXT.2
I don't have a problem with either paste or liquid NXT 2.0...
It works fine, even on barely prepped paint.
I wouldn't mind some NXT 3.0.Daily - 09 Chevrolet Colorado - Techno gray metallic

I typically put the coat of wax on the whole car, done a few other things like cleaning up or the interior and then swipe test where I started and it is usually a good 30-40 minutes and it will be ready.

Re: problems with NXT.2
One of our members just offered this advice on another forum about NXT and drying time. It makes good sense to me, given the problems some folks have with smearing, so I thought I'd pass it on: Do the swipe test. If the wax swipes clear, WAIT 15 minutes and then remove the wax residue. My guess--and it's only a guess--is that this will eliminate 99% of smearing problems.Swirls hide in the black molecular depths, only waiting for the right time to emerge and destroy your sanity.
