  • HEELLP Believe it or not,. Cement on my car

    Hi,

I was driving near a bridge, there was a construction and suddenly a big drog of cement/concrete (I don´t know) fall down over my car

When I arrived home, the cement was dried!! like a stone, is like a 3 inches spot,

Please HEELP, any Idea?, I used a lot of water and didn't work I don´t want to scratch my paint

    Thanks

If it is indeed cement, once it is dried, there is no liquid or compound that will will remove it. I would imagine it would have to be chipped off.

Where on the car is it? If it is on a spot that you could get to the backside of the panel, I wonder if tapping it from the backside would break its hold on the paint and make it fall off. Just thinking out loud. Good luck. Post a picture if you can.

Ouch that ***** man. You can try to look for something like this.

Or you could always give those cement remover solvent things a try.

Try saturating a rag with white vinegar and applying it to the cement. Yep...vinegar of all things! Give that a try and let us know.

Hmmmm...now I am craving British Style Fish and Chips! Yum! (Vinegar on the fries in case you thought that was just an abstract thought! LOL)

I've dissolved dried concrete spots with white vinegar as well. I'd suggest soaking a paper towel or mf and lay it on the concrete. Keep it wet for about 15 minutes then see if it can be removed. Take care not to rub it to remove it. Try to lift or flick it off the paint. Rubbing it will rub sand and gravel against the paint. If it doesn't come off readily, repeat the process.

Don't forget that you will need to rewax or seal the area.

One more for the vinegar on the microfiber. You will be surprised how well it works.

That happened to my mom once. Tell the workers what happened, they should take care of you.

Their insurance or her insurance paid her and the company told her how to remove it and it was all good.

The spot is mmm...like a big peach. I tried the vinegar and it seems to be working , I could remove a big part, I will try to remove it all next weekend.

                            Thanks

I better keep some vinegar in stock just in case.

I also agree with dope92cc. Anytime we do an outside service for my primary job we need to be sure we have insurance lined up. Up to a few million dollars sometimes.
