Terry cloths or wash cloths ?

Hey, I need some terry cloths for plastic parts to apply hyper dressing, mainly engine detailing and such. I picked up a 40 pack at Costco for $17 but they seem kind of harsh. Then my gf picked up 30 wash cloths from walmart today for $6 and they seem a lot more delicate, not as harsh. They'r both 100% Cotton, is "Terry" something specific, or should I just use the wash cloths since it's the same thing ? My gf uses them on her face, so they'r very delicate.

as long as you aren't using either one on the actual paint of the vehicle than either one will do fine. Limit the uses to places like the engine bay/motor, wheel wells, door jambs, wheels/tires, or even for uses like applying a protectarant or dressing to weather stripping rubber, etc.

I use microfiber towels for 95% of all work on vehicles - I just use the older, stained, more worn out MF towels for the dirty jobs like i mentioned above, but i also keep a big stack of just regular towels / rags also for these dirty areas.

keep the "good" microfiber towels for use on the paint

After you wash them once or twice, they might get closer in feel as well.

Yeah I got around 50 Meguiars Microfibres for paint, Then 50 unknown brand microfibres for interior, and I was thinking of grabin a good ammount of cheap towels for enginebay and Tire wipes.
