Does anyone have a BETTER alternative on how to get rid of sticky dressings on my tires? I am currently using APC+ with tire brush to loosen-up the dressings. thanks!

Re: How to get rid of sticky tire dressing?
APC+ 4:1 is what I use and typically you can see the "brown" just rolling off.

I also would recommend APC+, this can removed it very good. Also if you don't have APC+ and would like to try something that you could I would try Dawn (dish soap), I've used it and has done the job pretty good.

Re: How to get rid of sticky tire dressing?
When I am degereasing dirty tires I usually dont bother with the APC's to much. I use Super Degreaser and lots of caution to avoid spraying the wheels or paint.
A while back I cleaned up a muddin truck and used Super Degreaser undiluted on the tires. Worked really well.Nick

Re: How to get rid of sticky tire dressing?
I know what your talking about. Tire Gels tend to leave a sticky film on the tires that you cannot get off by scrubbing, it just kind of moves it around and smears it more. This is usually from using too much product...
It has happened to me before, I haven't found a solution for it yet either.
I use Wesley's Bleche White, Super Degreaser, and APC for tires.Matt

Re: How to get rid of sticky tire dressing?
Westley's Bleche-Wite Tire cleaner, made for blackwall and whitewall tires.
Stuff is like $3.50 for a large spray bottle, and can be had from any local auto store.
I have APC and APC+, but even at their strong dilutions, I don't find them effective enough at cutting away the nastiness.

Re: How to get rid of sticky tire dressing?
I don't know if anyone here finds this. If I get a sponge and use Hot Shine on my tyres and rub,I find it takes brown markings off the tyre and onto the sponge. Then I go around the tyres with a new sponge. Very rarely, have I ever tried cleaning them. They turn out fine.
