Need help on the car for multiple problem areas

Ok so, I picked up a 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GT on July 31. It only had 7,155 miles when i took it home but the paint is in bad shape. Below is what I tried and the outcome...any help would be appreciated.

Paint:
Deep scratches.
---I tried Scratch-X on it, 3 applications to no avail. Still looks like there are some scratches.

Wheels:
Looks like baked on brake dust as well as some water spotting.
---Tried clay but did nothing.

Convertible Top: (canvas)
I am not sure if its original color is deep black or if it's the color it is now..a faded off-black.
---If it turns out being originally dark black, what would be the best way to restore it

Was it the old scratchX?...it's quite mild.

Are the wheels aluminium or coated?

The wheels I believe are coated with something. I am trying to find out for you.

In the meantime here is a really good thread for you to read.Go to thread #8,posted by M.Stoops.this will help you out a lot once you find out what the wheel finis is.
