  • ATD-10511 Rotary

I'm looking for a budget replacement for my Sears orbital buffer. Combined with UC doesn't seem to have enough power to remove swirls out of my 05 silver Corolla. People that have worked on the 9th gen Corollas know how hard the clear coat is. I also get a lot of vibrations and I'm not satisfied with the MF bonnets. UC gets gumed up quick. So I figure I should step up to a rotary.

I've been looking at this ATD-10511 rotary on Amazon. And plan on getting the Megs rotary backing plate and foam pads. I'd like to use this rotary to compound with UC and SwirlX as well as apply NXT (2.0) and ColorX. I use NXT wash whenever the car gets dirty and I wax twice a year. So I'm not looking for an extravagant rotary.

I want hear from anyone that has experience with this rotary. Or have suggestions for a better one. I have $100 credit on Amazon which is burning a hole in my wallet.

Do you have any experience with a rotary? They have a learning curve. If not familiar with them, quite easy to burn your paint. If you get this or any rotary, get a junk yard hood to practice on.

A alternative would be the G110. The G110 is just about "Bubba" proof. Not as steep as a learning curve.
You can achieve a lot of paint correction with the G110. Just typing out loud.
