Hello, I have just started reading your threads this weekend. All of the pictures of your work that you guys have posted are amazing.
I am obviously very new here. I have only really done minor detail work. I would wash and wax with my dad on his cars. We even clay bared one of our cars that spends every day at the beach in the summer. Anyway, I recently bought an 09 Accord EX-L Sedan (picked it up a week and a half ago) (without a dealer tag, got them to remove it and they actually did a decent job). And am pretty much taking car of my girlfriends '05 Mazda 3.
Her car has only seen a wash from an automatic car wash and has only seen about one coat of wax a week. I washed and waxed both cars (this is before I found out about this website). I know her car needs atleast a clay bar now. I just graduated college so I can't afford all the cool products everyone has here, but I do have Gold Class Liquid Wax and GC Car Wash Shampoo and Conditioner. I also just bought GC All Wheel Cleaner. A meager selection of products but a good start, I think.
My biggest problem is the Mazda's wheels. They are really bad. I have heard that All Wheel Cleaner stains my parents 2002 Accord, so I don't want to use that. Will Hot Rims Aluminum Wheel Cleaner be strong enough to clean over a years worth of break dust but still be good for when there is only minor build up?
Also, when you talk about claying the wheels is that the same clay bar that you would use on the rest of the car?
Sorry for such a long thread, but fyi the Accord still looks almost showroom quality.
Thanks you guys are amazing!
