If that wheel is painted with a true chrome insert, or even a polished insert with a clear coat, then All Wheel Cleaner is perfectly fine. But if those inserts are polished aluminum and not chrome the All Wheel Cleaner will stain them, so Aluminum Wheel Cleaner would be a better choice. Just make doubly sure you know what the material is before proceeding.

Just a note about Aluminum Wheel Cleaner and Multi-Piece Wheel Cleaner - these are very mild cleaners; they have to be in order to be safe on uncoated and anodized surfaces. It is still very important that you use them on only one wheel at a time, start to finish. And because they're so gentle, they are not going to remove heavily built up brake dust simply by spraying on and rinsing off. Agitation with a soft brush is going to be a huge help, and regular, full cleaning is the best way to proceed. That's sort of the downside to having intricate and delicate wheels.

$3.50 at Big Lots for a bottle of Multi-Piece.

The Multi-Piece is the same as Aluminum Wheel Wash, just got discontinued due to the name change.

With tax, the Aluminum Wheel Cleaner would be a little over $7, so you at least broke even.

If the Multi-Piece was on sale for a good price, get a few more.

I have a bunch from Big Lots.

My biggest suggestion would be to absolutely stay on top of cleaning those rivets out. If you let them go for a few weeks or a month it can get nasty and virtually impossible to clean out.

    Regular cleaning is key!

I'd try small brushes as the others have said, but there may still be some dirt left behind. I would suggest using a bunch of Q tips in the small areas if any dirt is left.

I'd use a small paint brush (0.75 - 1.5 inch) with a lot of soapy water around the rivets. Be sure to tape the brush so the metal will not scratch the wheels.

You may need to try a few different soft brushes. Soft tooth brush, soft paint brush, etc.

Picking some up today. Thanks guys. Any good tips on how to get around rivits on the wheel. Its a three piece wheel and the rivits hold the pieces together. Good looking wheels but a PIA to clean

Agreed... no Chrome Cleaner. You could use a chrome polish in the future, and just keep it on those parts.
