So, living in AZ I'm learning the hard way how harsh the water is, especially when the sun hits it on your paint.
Well it rained last Monday, and I had just finished using my new G110 on my roof to make it swirl free, as well as the side panel. Didn't have time for the rest (I'm slow...)
So I didn't feel like washing again, plus I had just applied some M07 and Gold Class wax Sunday night. I planned to continue removing swirls with SwirlX, Ultimate Compound, and M205 the next weekend.
So, I waited a week (to this recently passed weekend), and after washing my car, to my surprise I've got some waters spots on my roof now.
I decided to continue removing the defects in the rest of my paint, and proceeded to finish the passenger door, rocker panel, hood and front bumper. They now have a mirror-like finish! I'm really impressed.
But upon closer inspection, I still see some water spots now. Even after I removed the swirls and scratches, in some areas. I can't tell if these are from last Monday, or from the cars past history. Is it possible I've uncovered them? I don't recall seeing them before. I'm pretty sure my car has never had any water spots until I moved to AZ.
Should I purchase some M105 and go at it with the G110? Or try using a hand foam applicator? I've never had any luck with those, to be honest.
I know I've posted a thread on water spots when I had my hood repainted, but the body shop fixed those. These ones are unrelated so I can't have them fix them, and I need to own up to doing it myself.
Do I just treat them like scratches, and keep working at them? They can't be that deep, right? If I leave them after claying, can they get deeper?
