  • Thoughts on vinyl trim?

Hi guys, I just recently ordered some forever black trim dye for my dad's Jeep. I also want to try it on my 01 eclipse with vinyl trim. Do you guys have any experience with using forever black on smooth vinyl trim? Will it be as effective as plastic trim? I am slightly hesitant to try it without your guys' thoughts.

    Thanks a lot!

I'd say it depends on the condition of the vinyl/plastic you are working on. Search the threads for Supreme Shine and take a look at the new video on protectants: http://www.youtube.com/MeguiarsUSA#p.../1/3b5bx55KRf4

If I remember correctly, Forever Black is only for plastic trim.

I would use something like Supreme Shine or Natural Shine as Poki mentioned above.

You might want to do a test spot on your trim. From one site that sells Forever Black:

Please Note: Forever Black is intended for porous, textured black plastic, vinyl, and rubber surfaces. It will streak on nonporous materials.
Does smooth vinyl trim qualify as "porous"? Hmm ...
