was it the bottle that is also found at walmart for like 10-13 bucks? if so, way back when i bought some (still have some actually) and used it on my black s-10. it looked decent for a bit, but did not last long at all. of course this was when i was only like 16 and didnt know that you could top a cleaner wax with a real wax....
As Mike Phillips always used to say: Try it out for yourself and see if you like it. For the most part, waxes are about how you like the product. My dad likes Zymol but I find it to be uselessly expensive. My philosophy is this: My car's finish looks fantastic with Meguiar's. I've been told it looks like a show car. I spend $13 on NXT Tech Wax that lasts me at least a year (I have a small car). Why would I want to spend $50+ for the same (or maybe even not as good) outcome?
I have heard that Zymol was bought out by Turtle Wax and has made some cheaper TW products with the Zymol name on it. Of course the high end Zymol products have gone unaltered. I could very easily be wrong. There are a lot of rumors on the Internet and I am probably conributing to spreading one right now.
That specific Zymol product is distributed by Turtle Wax (larger distribution channels than Zymol). I can't comment on who actually makes the wax...I would bet that most name brand waxes are made by other companies.

I bought a bottle a few months back and I've only tried it out once. I like the product, it smells really good, but the major drawback, other than it not lasting too long, is it becomes very, very dusty when you're working with it.
I can remember probably 7-8 years ago it seemed really expensive at $13, but it's price has stayed the same and now it's cheaper than a lot of other waxes sitting next to it on the shelf.
It's basically a cheap Zymol-Branded product. IIRC, it's made by Turtle Wax and sold under the Zymol name - Turtle's name has been destroyed more or less in the grown-up world by sub-par products, but they're too stubborn to give up. They formed some kind of alliance with Zymol (who has a very good reputation) to sell a TW product. If you go to Zymol's website, you'll find that the cleaner wax in question is hidden away in a dark corner of their website.
I haven't tried it (probably won't, I'm happy enough with Megs polishes), but I have nothing but good to say about the Zymol products that I do use.
If a tree falls in the forest and there's nobody there to record the event, how can you be certain that there was a tree or even a forest to begin with?
I'm very leery of trying zymol products. If I buy a consumer line Meguiar's product and absolutely hate it (hasn't happened yet) I'm still only out ~$14, where as if I buy a jar of glasure and don't like it I'm out of $101! I am not convinced that any of their products are so "superior" that they justify the much larger price tag. A jar of Zymol Atlantique costs 170 times more than a tin of Gold Class paste, is the shine/protection/surface texture worth 170 times more? I doubt it.

The OP wasn't talking about the hi end zymol stuff but the rather cheap cleaner wax which is ~13 bucks.

As the fellow above me said, the OP was talking about the "Zymol" Cleaner Wax that is readily available at Pep Boys, Auto Zone, VIP Auto Parts, etc.
BTW, I just started using Glasur and I love it...I don't feel that I'm "out" $101 at all. It's another wax in my cabinet (actually in the display cabinet at that price ) that I break out for special occasions. For example, I have a car club meetup on August 1st and I'll probably apply Glasur to the car going to the meet. For $101, it's too expensive for me to use all the time, but I have no qualms with using it when I want one of my cars to look its absolute best. Kinda like having an expensive suit or tuxedo. Just because I have a tuxedo (or three...WTF am I thinking?) in my closet doesn't mean I wear them every day.
Anyway, back on topic.
I think that anybody that has been let down by the Zymol cleaner wax should write them a letter/email saying as much. Maybe they'll finally stop selling a sub-par (for their line) product with their name on it. These same people should also realize that apart from brand name, this product has nothing in common with the rest of the Zymol line and should be regarded so.
Imagine if KIT decided that their reputation has been so tarnished that they can't sell products to the show-car crowd anymore, and they bought a deal with Meguiars to sell a bottle of rocks under the Meguiars name...same idea, only with different players.

I read it somewhere that the instruction is to apply Glasur is to melt it in your hands and spread it with your fingers. Interesting...
How's the finish? The most important question is how does Glasur compared to Meguiar's products, like NXT?
